Jacobs Land Surveying is based in Central NY and proudly serves all of New York State. Jacobs Land Surveying was established in 2017 by Christopher Jacobs, PLS. Chris graduated from the SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry’s Ranger School with an Associate’s Degree in Land Surveying in 2006, and went on to obtain his professional license in 2015. He is also a member of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors (NYSAPLS).
Chris brings over fourteen years of experience to his business with extensive expertise in title research, boundary/topographic survey and mapping, construction stakeout services, and high-definition 3D laser scanning.
Jacobs Land Surveying is able to tackle projects of varying complexity and scale – from minor property boundary stakeouts to expansive topographic surveys to three-dimensional evaluation of high-rise buildings, no project is too large or small. We have been fortunate to assist private landowners, architectural, engineering, and construction firms, industrial and utility companies, government agencies and municipalities, educational facilities, and commercial and residential developers all over New York State with their surveying needs.
Jacobs Land Surveying utilizes various methods of data collection while using high end field equipment including Leica Robotic Total Stations, Leica GPS Static Base Stations, Septentrio NR3 RTK Rover’s, Carlson Surveyor 2 Mini PC’s, and Leica P-Series Laser Scanners. Software platforms utilized include AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk ReCap, Leica Cyclone, Leica CloudWorx, and Leica TruView.
